If you live or work in West Sussex, are aged 18 or over and currently smoke you are eligible for a free Quit Kit and stop smoking support.

Quit Kit is a new, 4 week stop smoking support starter kit that includes:

A rechargeable vape starter device.
15 bottles of e-liquid - your smoking advisor will discuss with you the strengths and flavours available.
Wall adaptor/charger.
Spare coils where applicable.
Smokefree West Sussex Stop Smoking Guide.
Vaping information and instructions.
Information about how to get further stop smoking support.

Choosing your e-liquid

Your advisor will help you choose an appropriate nicotine strength based on your current smoking habits and preferences.

Available strengths and flavours may vary depending on your level of smoking.

What happens when our service is contacted?

A simple 5 step process:

Check eligibility
We will confirm that you are an adult smoker living or working in West Sussex.
Talk about quitting
A Smokefree West Sussex advisor or triage will discuss your smoking and the support available.
Receive your Quit Kit
Once eligibility and age have been confirmed, you can receive your Quit Kit either in person or, where appropriate, by post.
Get follow-up support
We will contact you approximately 4 weeks later to find out how you are getting on and discuss further support if needed.
Your quit date
Anyone who receives a Quit Kit will be asked to agree a provisional quit date, normally around 3–5 days after receiving the kit.

What if vaping isn't right for me?

A vape is not the only way to quit smoking.

We also provide a standard 12-week stop smoking programme using nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) with stop smoking advisors. These include free quit aids, such as patches, gum, lozenges and others.
