Good Neighbours West Sussex - Royal Voluntary Service
The Good Neighbours West Sussex service provides support to older people across West Sussex who are living alone and are socially isolated.
During this difficult time, volunteers continue to provide befriending and practical support to clients experiencing loneliness and isolation. This support includes:
- Safe and well telephone befriending calls
- Assisted shopping
- Social distancing garden visits/doorstep chats
- Accompanied walks
Anyone aged 55 and over, who is living alone and socially isolated in West Sussex can be referred to the service. Support (not respite care) is also offered to carers who have become isolated through their role.
