Workplace wellbeing

Arun Wellbeing support for health & wellbeing in the workplace

Employee wellbeing has become a key issue for employers as organisations face the costs and potential impact of high absence levels and employee ill-health.  If you would you like to reduce your sickness/absence rates and increase staff commitment and motivation, we can offer you help to support your staff to be healthier and improve their wellbeing.

See this video from Mid Sussex Wellbeing (YouTube - new window) which gives a feel for  what is involved when a Wellbeing Advisor visits a workplace.

We can also support workplace wellbeing days and events, where we can run a wellbeing stall or offer on-site talks and workshops within your workplace on any aspect of healthy living.

Covid-19 update

We are running a limited workplace wellbeing service as a result of the workplace restrictions in place during the Covid 19 pandemic. We can still work one-to-one with your staff over the phone, email or video calls to offer Wellbeing advice and support. In addition we can deliver talks/presentations via Microsoft Teams as a guest at a team meeting.

Services we can provide to your workplace in the Arun District:

Wellbeing MOT

A free and confidential 30 minute assessment of health and wellbeing using Tanita body composition scales.  Readings will be taken to calculate body mass index (BMI), fat %, muscle mass, hydration level, bone mass, metabolic rate and age and levels of visceral fat.

The MOT includes individual advice for anyone wanting to make a lifestyle change, or signposting to local services.  A MOT re-test after 3 months can be arranged to track progress against goals.

NHS Health Check

Free and confidential 30 minute health check to assess risk of developing heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, kidney disease and stroke.  The check includes a test of cholesterol and blood pressure.  NHS policy means this check is restricted to those aged 40-74 years only without a diagnosis of heart disease, kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes or stroke.  Only one check permitted every 5 years.
