Arun Wellbeing supports you to improve your health and wellbeing by helping you and your family to get more active, eat more healthily, or simply improve your general wellbeing.

By making these kinds of lifestyle changes you can reduce your risk of contracting cardiovascular disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and some preventable cancers.

Covid-19 Update:

The Arun Wellbeing Team are continuing to support the residents of Arun to stay healthy and well whilst we all play our part in reducing and trying to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

In light of Government guidance we have currently suspended our face-to-face work including training sessions, workshops and one-to-one meetings.  However, the team are still here and available for you, instead, we will be communicating via telephone and/or email, enabling us to continue offering tailored advice, support and motivational interviewing just as before.

Home Energy Adviser

  • Scale 6 (£24,313 - £26,317)
  • Part Time - 22 hours per week
  • Based at Littlehampton Civic Centre with home working and hot-desking options available.

Arun Wellbeing has a part time vacancy for a Home Energy Adviser, working within a proactive and friendly team at Arun District Council. 

In order to tackle fuel poverty in a practical and effective way, Arun Wellbeing wish to recruit a Home Energy Adviser.  The postholder will support the alleviation of fuel poverty across the Arun District by providing advice, including via telephone or through home visits where appropriate, to promote behaviour change and improve energy efficiency, with advice on reducing fuel bills and the installation of practical measures.

The postholder will have proven experience of delivering energy efficiency or affordable warmth advice direct to members of the public and understand fuel poverty and the link between cold homes and poor health.  They will understand issues relating to deprived areas and disadvantaged people and be confident in referring individuals to other agencies.  They will understand fuel bills and tariff comparison and be able to analyse data to target service delivery.
