Important Notice (Covid-19)

All of our Wellbeing Active courses have been suspended until futher notice due to staff and client saftey during Covid-19. We are following Government guidelines as to when it will be safe to run our activity sessions again.

To help you stay active during lockdown we have have compiled a list of online classes led by certified instructors, designed to help you exercise in the comfort of your own home.

Get active in a fun way!

Our courses last for 8-10 sessions over 8-10 weeks and are FREE to join. 

These courses are aimed at people who are sedentary at the moment and are looking to start getting more active to lead a healthier lifestyle. Everyone will be in the same boat so come along, meet new people, have fun and get fit!

Virtual Beginners Fitness - New!

Our Beginners Fitness class has now been taken online! If you are unsure how to stay active during this current Lockdown period, then why not ease yourself in by joining onto our new 10-week FREE virtual beginners fitness course? We are now able to offer the same experience as before, but from the safety of your own home. 

Our current course dates are:

  • 20 January to 24 March 2021, 5:45pm - 6:45pm (10 weeks) every Wednesday, via Zoom

Beginners Fitness -(not currently running due to Covid-19)

These 10 week FREE sessions, will help you to feel more confident in using a gym. The highly qualified instructor will give you a variety of exercises to try in a circuits style environment. These might involve hand weights, stability balls etc. and can be catered to your preference.

Learn to run (not currently running due to Covid-19)

Ever thought about running but lacked the confidence to do so or didn't think could? This is your chance to learn for FREE! Arun Wellbeing are offering an 8 week course with a qualified instructor who will guide you through your first steps to developing your fitness levels and teaching you the correct way to run. We have had great results from this course in the past and you could be the next person to benefit.

Falls prevention and Otago (not currently running due to Covid-19)

 “Falls prevention” is available to anyone aged 65 or older and is designed to improve your confidence and balance in the home and out in the local community. This is designed to give you more independence and help to prevent avoidable injury.

The course will start with a one-off half-day workshop designed to give you all the preventative information you will need to help reduce your risks. This workshop will be followed by an 8 week course of Otago (specialist exercise) - this will allow you to use what you have learned in the half day workshop to develop confidence with your balance and keep you confident on your feet.
